Back in 2017, we had a current client ask us about doing some search engine optimization work for a business they had just purchased with a website on the Wix platform and initially we wanted to move them to what you might call a regular HTML website.
They were very busy with business operations and wanted to keel the Wix platform at that time, so we did a full website audit and optimized their content for local search.
The results were not stellar, to say the least!
No matter what we tried the results just didn't happen. We followed all of the directions from the Wix support center and nothing seemed to work.
We used every tool that we could think of to try and get their website moving up in the search rankings with very limited success.
Wix was a no-win situation for what we were trying to achieve for our client, it may be different for you and we know they provide a valuable service, but it is not ideal for a seasoned web development team to get the best possible results for local search.
Flash Forward to 2019
Over the holiday break going into 2019, we launched a new website for our client (www.communitypsnc.com) that moved all of the content away from Wix.
